Some tips for Synandrospadix growers - when in active growth, the plant enjoys having its feet in a weak Miracle Gro solution (1 tsp per 5 gal water). I keep mine in a 2 gallon pot sitting in a shallow pot tray. The white roots come out and frolic in the fert solution. When the plants begin to appear setting up for dormancy in the Fall, switch to the Miracle Gro Bloom Booster and that will help the plant make a bigger tuber.
