They did say that was a drawback. IThere is a shut off button and if you are very fast you can put the springler on after it is fully loaded. but stand back when you turn it back on.

But for me it works very well. I do hand watering up to about 50 feet and it works like a charm.

Storing it is so much easier. I did see an upgraded one xpro or something like that that has brass vs plastic fittings, I think that would
be much better.
