Seedling transformations continue to amaze me. Here's what I found in my seedling this morning. I wasn't sure if I was awake or still dreaming.
Cosmic Sensation X Alan Lane Agin
That seedling first bloomed last September. Here's the photo of it then. Quite the transformation on the bloom. The scape however, was better last year, when it had 5-way branching. This season only 3-way, but only a one-bud difference.
Here's another from my teeth breeding - Sun Bear X Julie Newmar. Sun Bear was the ugliest daylily I ever bought because of its color here, brick red. The kid is still on the red-pink side but a more palatable color with a better picotee edge. This one has an instant rebloom scape coming. I'm hoping for more teeth as things heat up.
