dormantsrule, This is odd but I checked 5 times & there are 7 stamens & 1 pistil???? No kidding! So it must have been a wanna be fused bloom. Blinking Blinking Confused Confused Confused Plus it just doesn't seem to have wanted to open all the way. The (duh me) pie crust edges had gotten tangled in each other in one area & so I "helped it along" a few hours before taking the photo but it still didn't open all the way.

I have to say though that I am TICKLED PINK that the color has held up like a total trooper allllll day long & it's full, full sun & we had 90+ degrees today. Also, the colors in the photo are exactly as it appears in real life. The very strong yellow of the pie crust edges is gorgeous against the peach.

Thanks Betty, I have learned enough from this thread alone to know that FFO's don't always open correctly & the future blooms will more than likely show the full potential.

And Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Ed! Great for you to join us!
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
