Rick, I buy potting mix. And yes, I reuse it. I leave the pots full of the potting mix overwinter. Never empty them. Then for new planting I take the top third out and leave the rest. The top I fill with new potting mix.
I take that old used potting mix and put it in the bottom of a new pot I want to use for the driveway farm.
