That is actually why invasive roses are a problem. It's not that they get out of control in the garden setting. It's that they produce tons of seed and are spread far and wide by the animals that it them. Once the animals redeposit them in the wild they take over and displace native plants. We have Macarney Roses, Rosa bracteata here, and they for impenetrable walls of thorns.
