Jan - I agree with you 100%! I love growing daylilies from seeds. It's the ONLY way I could ever have most of the ones that I do have. It's always a thrill when you see the very first buds forming in anticipation of what it will look like! Kinda like Christmas in April, May, June, and July!

Natalie - Your dad and his obsession with seeds .... I can relate! LOL! $20 to register a daylily is much more reasonable that registering a lot of other species of plants! I may do that when I grow some that I really feel represents the person or place that I want to name them after. Most would be in memory of someone.

Ed or anyone - Do you know what causes a plant hybrid/cultivar to be sterile?
