I haven't brought my large hanging baskets inside yet. They are hanging under a small covering with a tin roof,i leave a light on at night and they have been fine.I need to bring them in except i am having a problem with teeny tiny little spiders. You don't even know they are there unless you see the little webs between the limbs, stems or leaves.
I don't think they bother the plants at all.I use a systemic insecticide on my plants before i bring them in for the winter. It only kills insects living off the plant but i really don't think these spiders are eatting any part of my plants.
I have removed large spiders from some plants as well as the lizards & frogs.
that was a sight to see.I didn't get them all off my plants last year and they went from my plants to the windows then l had tons of these little spiders on the webs covering my windows.I don't want to go through that again.
My question is, last year some body told me to mix water & dishwashing liquid such as orange scented,i don't remember if you add anything else or how much dishwashing liquid to how much water. They said it would kill insects on my plants & wasn't dangerous to anything else.
Does anyone know what i'm talking about or know of another way to kill these little spiders? I call them woodsy spiders because they are just looking for somewhere to find little bugs to eat i think and they were probably a big help this summer getting rid of other bugs.
Any help is really appreciated!!
