Less say i live in the woods & have removed spiders from my plants before bringing them inside but i could see them.Thumb of 2013-11-08/jojoe/5346c9 Thumb of 2013-11-08/jojoe/968694
This one was simply relocated. Thumbs up

The problem i'm having now is as i have started to bring my plants inside i have noticed webs in my plants example in my desert rose, both of them.I put them next to each other on my dresser in front of a window.I seen the web and my first thought was cob webs because the web isn't like any i've seen before. It just wrapped around the plants trunk & between stems.I take a q-tip & get the webs off the plants.I didn't see a spider for a long time,i kept taking the q-tips to the plant and one day the web was between the 2 pots.I removed the web and took a wet wipe & cleaned around the top of the pots paying attention to under the rim. That was when i seen this teeny tiny spider i think, you couldn't really look at it between it's small size & how fast it was.I managed to smoosh it with my finger.I guess there was more than 1 because the web is back in the plant this morning.

I also have these webs between the leaves of my jade's, epi's,easter cactus and a campfire plant.I am going to treat all of these except anything that will bloom outside with a systemic insecticide. At first i thought that the spiders were simply outside creatures that took up residency in my plants & i figured they were helping catch bad bugs so no harm was being done. But, last year I didn't notice the webs, i brought my plants inside in a hurry.I hang my plants & have other on shelves in front of a bay window.I ended up with webs in the windows & i didn't notice it because it was behind so many plants, until one morning there was what seemed like hundreds of these little dots on webs in front of the 3 windows that make up the bay.Took a lot of work & a long time to get rid of so many spiders. Crying Grumbling

I don't want a repeat of last year. Sad

QUESTION: Could i be dealing with spider mites & how can you tell if spider mites are doing any damage to your plants? What are more signs of spider mites? How can i kill them?

The only other thing i have seen on any plant is a leaf on 1 desert rose looked lacy,i pulled it off & found a small green worm on the under side of the leaf, only the one worm has been found.

I was re-potting an epi & found what looks like eggs on the outside of the soil up against the pot??I have no idea what would lay eggs there, a "spider"? Confused
