A former neighbor gave me some ditch daylilies and I'm so glad I left them for the person who bought my home. They were nice enough for a newbie to the world of daylilies but can't compare to anything in the last 40 years and the beauty of so many of them.

The former neighbor was Pauline Isabelle Reid Loeffler (PIRL) and she lived to be 102+. She gardened until she was 95 so she was an excellent role model for me.
