I've read (posts from gardeners who grow them) that they tend to be short lived, and reseed themselves, creating a permanent presence in the garden that way. That may explain what happened to the blooming plants. Did the blooms produce seed pods? I suspect the little ones from Bluestone will bloom nicely this year.
