I tested it on Crepe Myrtle (Lagerstroemia 'Arapaho') and it's working. Click on the child plant and you'll see Crepe Myrtle (Lagerstroemia 'Ebony Flame')

View that one and you'll see the parentage list. Looks like it's working pretty well!
