Hm, I'm always up for saving and using water efficiently, but I put salt into water when I cook potatoes, which is about the only thing I do boil.

Some plants are very sensitive to salt, in fact here in FL we can use salty water to kill some weeds like Bahia grass. I'd be cautious here!
