When I first posted this, I had no idea MORE Lycoris radiata would appear in the lawn next door, but they did. A whole circle/ring of them around where a tree probably used to be.


Look at today's haul! This cart is more than half full. There's got to be at least 500 bulbs here.

DH doesn't know it yet, but he's going to do a little digging tomorrow. I'm going to have to remove some grass to have a place for all of these. Widening a bed along the fence out front by 1-shovel depth should do it. There's already a row there, but no more space behind them. Then there will be an even more solid, very deep row of them at the front (looking from the street) edge when the bloom. If that can't hold them all, I think we'll remove a strip of grass along the curb, where the mower usually misses anyway.
