Teresa, That "tree lily" is an OT called Conca d' Or. I had no idea that it would grow so tall and it is a poor choice for location since it is under my hawthorn tree. Every year it gets a bit bigger. I should move it, but haven't picked out a better spot.

Thanks Becky! I do grow a ton of annuals, which really fill up the garden. I'm working on an article about using annuals to enhance colour themes and it has been fun to go thru the photos from past years. I've had a "Blue", "Pink", "Burgundy" and even did "hot" colours one year. I asked my husband what he thought my garden theme was and he thinks it is a rose garden Hilarious! The kid laugh and stated that he must have not seen all the petunias. Same question to my neighbor and her response was a wonderful herb & veggie garden with nice flowers (she loves to cook). I just like to grow everything and try to use annuals to tie it together with all the colours.

My daughter is 15. I'm not sure what she will decide for a career direction, but what ever it may be, I'm am sure that she will continue sketching.
