Granny I'm glad you like Iconic it is a really nice Flower I am partial to those dark burgundy/ Reds and your right the pictures help get us through until spring I have enjoyed looking at all the different threads here lately gives me a lot of good ideas and keeps my Wish List growing nodding

Mary Ann it is a nice pink what I liked about it was How late it bloomed I only had one other still coming on when it bloomed and that was Kitty Kay always the last pink in my garden. This was my first year with it blooming and I kept it when a lot of other pinks didn't make the cut.

Tom it was miserable today the truck registered -18 for actual temp don't know how accurate that is but anything with a - is horrible to have to do anything in. I have been lucky with my Roses and Jap Maples the past few years I always mulch them Heavy and try to keep the roots insulated well but this year may be to much for a lot of things. I always try to cheat our zone with different plants and lately we have been lucky but nothing we to do now but wait and see it wouldn't be so bad if we had a lot of snow cover but the high winds have left just a dusting on my berms…

I thought I would share some pictures tonight of some clumps in the garden, what is always impressive about visiting Schreiner's and Mid America Gardens is seeing a big clump of a flower in peak bloom gives it a completely different look. I don't have the room to grow a hundred bulbs of anything like they do in there display gardens but I do have some that I really liked this year and I thought looked good this spring. A couple of these are Older Iris that I have had for a long time and are excellent plants (Wishful Thinking) is the pod parent of (Fogbound) and in my opinion is one of the best producing Iris ever it has over 100 plus kids and the other is( Romantic Evening) it has over 170 kids and both are still producing awesome plants if you have room I recommend getting these two they are excellent growers.
