Pothos is a really fascinating plant. In the tropics, it grows by attaching small sucker roots along the stem to a wall or tree trunk. Once it gets as high as it can go, the leaves start to grow really large. I would love to figure out how to fool one into thinking it had climbed far enough to make the large leaves but so far the plant has been smarter than I am. I cut off long pieces with large leaves and put them in the filter for my fish pond. The roots clean the water and the leaves clean the air. They live years in the gravel of the fish filter but they stop growing the large leaves, they know that they are no longer high enough I guess. Here's a picture of them in my fish filter, hard to believe but it is the same plant you have Brook.
