I have one bearded iris that starts blooming in October, and stops in March. Most of the other bearded irises are spring bloomers.

Traditionally, the earliest iris to bloom are the Dutch irises. They do come back regularly in my zone, and can take some thinning every 4 years or so.

In retrospect, I should have added more azaleas to the bottom. But, one of the reasons I started this thread is to get ideas from all of you out there. Thumbs up
