I am surprised to read your coleus was damaged by 38 degree temps, especially with them in a mini green house. I had some outside that were not covered by anything but tree limbs and though they did not grow they showed no damage. I guess the variety makes a lot of difference . I have actually had them to self sow and come up in very cool temps, something I was really surprise to see the first couple of times, I have found them to be much hardier than tomatoes!
