At first sight it looks dull and 'weedy' but when having a closer look it reveals a subtle beauty of its own! I found it growing along an earth path in a rainforest area around Paraty.
As the flower heads are covered with fluffy hairs it is hard for a camera to focus on.
I thought maybe in the Lamiaceae family and did a search but didn't get any further..
