Multiflorum, which is from South Sfrica, grows like a tall bush, with almost no caudex.

I have a grafted socotranum. The leaves are totally thick and leathery and kind of waxy, very shiny. It's almost bloomed twice, but eager beaver me watered it, and the buds fell off. I'll have to start watching the weather for Socotra Island!! Hum, I don't have a decent photo of the little beastie, will have to play photographer soon...

There's Thai Soco, and 'real' Socotranum, from the island off Somalia, the pointy eastern bit of Africa. Thai soco is what they make the incredibly symmetrical rooted little (or big) trees from.
