Yes, Critter, I have a noid that was not preforming well. It has flowered and looks interesting so I dug it out and moved it to a moister position. It is still struggling. But today, a month later, I was walking past where it once was and I can now see three daylilies growing quite vigorously about 8 inches from where it was. Duh?

This does not happen in my garden. I wonder what it is? I am sure it is not a ditchlily and looks an early spider type. But do some older cultivars have the same spreading habit as ditchlilies? It might be a clue in trying to identify my noid.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
