Hi all,
I am not a very knowledgeable gardener yet so here I am asking :). What is the most likely reason, or combination of reasons, that cause my pink daylilies to bloom into more peachy, lighter tones and the purplish ones to be more of a blah burgundy. The colors of other colored lilies seem more muddy at times as well. I read reviews of the varieties and some people report blooming of the desired color and others report results like mine. "Stawberry Candy" looks almost flesh colored, like a muddiness of color and the eye zone is not very distinct. "South Seas" however looks great. So, what do you think? The soil here is a bit acidic, could that be it?
