Well, not all of my plants look this good. I actually lost about 70% of my stock and am having to give lots of refunds. One reason is that I got a lot of the daylilies divided a lot later than normal; it was November when I divided most of them and I usually get them done in September. I waited until November because I was trying to wait the heat out. Sometimes with out heat dividing in September puts heat stress on the new divisions and sometimes rot sets in so I wanted to wait for it to cool off. Well little did I know that 1 1/2 weeks to 2 weeks later we would start getting the freezing weather and constant cold. Some of you in the more colder states will understand this......the plants did not have time to re-establish themselves before all of the bad weather so I lost a lot from that. The rest I am losing because of another factor that I am not 100% sure of but have been told by an expert that it is highly likely.
I may not be selling next year because I am going to have to sell all of my personal plants (which is what I divide and sell each year) and my newly acquired plants to cover all of the refunds.
