Very nifty idea!
I just potted some dwarf Hostas thinking they would never have a place in my primary shade garden but seeing this I'm thinking of putting them in with their larger kin up upon painted PVC pedestals. How cool could that be?!

I'm already loving it! Also think it would work quite well with Hardy Geraniums that get overshadowed by taller perennials in the peak of the season. You've got me contemplating some rather unique ways to highlight smaller varieties. Thanks for sharing!
