Welcome! cmmcd0472

All good information but I doubt the workers at Lowe's or any other big-box store were knowledgeable enough to know whether orchids (or most any other plant for that matter) are diseased or have pests. The half-off/clearance/reduced-price racks are not an "isolation" area. The store just wants to get rid of plants to make room for more.

I hope you will continue to post. It sounds like you have lots of information that can be shared with others. Again, welcome to ATP.

By the way (keep in mind that I'm old), what does "OP" mean?

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
