I am not sure what the cause of the reddish hue. I've read that it may be cold. Some think it is the diminished winter sunshine. I have noticed on one of my succulents it is triggered by dry growing conditions regardless of the time of year. As with all things gardening it is a mystery and a challenge. Confused
