Coreopsis... I have this wild-collected specimen in a pot...
Last year I divided it and set it in an herb bed... only to see the voles eat my babies... rescued one...
There's usually a patch of these alongside a street in Macon which I enjoy... but the d*mn mowers got them this year....
Penstemons (group of 3) also subject to vole depredations...
