Seedfork,

Sue's pic from the database shows the excellent bud building GC does so well. I've never counted the branches and buds and it's pretty common with older varieties for it to be excluded from descriptions. Here's the only shot I've got on this computer. A clump near it's end, think it dates back to 2009. I've been busy with deaths, moves and other but this "division" is now rather huge. With only 2 registered kids it might difficult or just lost in time? I couldn't bear the thought of living without it. I put mine right outside my back door as it's the door I use most. This pic does show bud count by "lack of". Been meaning to paint that garage green...But for a plain old yellow, it's not so plain at all. Smiling

I'll be sure to get better pics of all of my daylilies this year. Of my meager collection of known, registered varieties Spider Man is first to show. That's hard to beat! Those first one or two blooms with fantastic bud count, you just know you're in for a show! Across the lawn and plants right beside it nothin' but buds, I'm like a kid on Christmas Morning. And of course, Spider Man peaking:
