Sherry, I'm just catching up and saw the pictures of your home...it's gorgeous! I like the dogwoods too! Thanks for sharing! Thumbs up

I wish I could grow dogwoods, but between my sandy soil (slightly alkaline) our hot summers (9b), and my lack of shade I'm afraid to waste more money on them. Anyone know a sturdy pink dogwood variety that makes fruit for the birds? I might be able to plant a tree to shade it but I can't do anything about the sand and the heat.
