I dug up enough of my garlic to make room for other vegetables. I planted cantaloupe, honey dew melon, and another 'Big Daddy' tomato. Now the hardneck and Creole have been dug (the hardneck already bagged and the Creole curing). Next week the softneck ought to be ready to dig up and that will finish up the garlic harvest. Only curing the Creole and softneck remains.

Has anyone ever planted tomato and then within a couple of feet of it, planted cantaloupe, honey dew melon, and/or sweet potatoes? I just wondered whether those "vining" plants would take over the tomato plants. I don't know whether those vines stay on the ground or would climb the tomato plants.

I'm not much of a farmer. Sticking tongue out

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
