Wes, where in Ohio do you live?
Pine straw mulch is getting more common here. In fact, in our short block of this subdivision, at least 4 houses use it. Most garden stores carry it, though it sells out pretty quickly. It is sold in bales, like straw, only smaller. I find it so much easier to use, lighter weight to move around.
