Actually Spitz it is not surprising, that mountain temp is so good for the succulents. Not too hot and not too cold. Just nice and warm.
If it gets way too hot, they really slow down growth, unless they are cacti that enjoys as hot as it goes. They do not really enjoy humid temps. Warm and dry is to their liking, with the occasional rain, not the torrents of rain we have there in Manila.
When it rains, and then humidity too high, it will be prone to rotting. It will take longer to dry out, those roots do not enjoy being too wet for a long time. Like our humidity in Manila going from 85 to 100 %...not the ideal environment really. So make sure you have proper cover for your collection, when the typhoon season comes in full swing.
The exception will be the Sans, it is so carefree there..loves the weather immensely wet or dry.
