I'm not much into lavender either, the scent can become overpowering in an old lady way (to me). I also don't have a lot of luck growing it - from talking with our friends, my soil is likely both too rich and too wet, they like a much sharper drainage than I am able to provide and lean soil. So, I'll continue to treat them as annuals that might last 2-3 years before they peter out. OK by me, there are so many different varieties to choose from. And, really, I would be remiss to not include 2-3 lavenders in my herb garden. I have one in the cosmetic section, one in the fragrant section, and one in the astrological section. I may pop one in the medicinal section as well.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
