I bring it inside for the winter and then redo it every spring. This is the first year I put it in a container of sorts...before I had it right on the ground at the base of the tree. There is a little bird nest that I put in it that gets stolen by squirrels all the time because they must think it's an acorn! I generally find it laying on the ground a few feet away from the garden about half a dozen times every summer Hilarious!

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.
