Bev,

Yes clear greens have no anthocyanin or very little so it gives the green a more sparkling or clear color. Addition of anthocyanins causes the color to go olive or dull. The only anthocyanins present in this seedling are in the stolons and these are BRIGHT PINK. Quite a cutie. It is also big for a cobweb. One year from seed the rosettes are 4" across so good sized for a cobweb. Several of the siblings were bright shades of red and are even bigger. These are making me very happy as one of my goals is HUGE cobwebs and of course most are NOT. I'm hoping these seedlings are more fertile than 'Kramer's Spinrad' as i would like to keep increasing the size in these.

There are a couple of other larger cobwebs that are sending up blooms that I hope to use this season. Stay tuned. Same Bat time, same Bat channel..... OK I'm giving my age and childhood nonsense too!

Kevin
