Who else grows Erythrinas? I'm in Indiana, but find them to be great in tubs over summer. I grow crista-galli, indica picta, x bidwillii, and humeana cv. Raja.

Right now, one of the crista-galli plants is in bloom. One summer I got a lot of seeds from one of my crista-gallis and I grew them just for fun. I think I kept them two years and then one fall was out of room. I was pitching them into the compost heap when I realized that one wasn't scratching me. It is almost completely without any thorns on the wood, and also, almost no prickles on the leaves or stems, either. It has a softer coral color than it's mother plant. Here's a picture of my thornless one......
