That is an excellent point which I have not seen mentioned that often. Yes, lots of buds are nice, but they do need to also have an extended period over which they open. I just posted a comment on my photo of 'My Path' the clump has been blooming over a month now. I have other daylilies with lots of buds, but in just a few days the show was over with them. I was just thinking while writing this post, I don't actually remember removing scapes from this clump this year, but I won't swear that I haven't. To me it seems this daylily just keeps producing buds on the same scapes, I need to pay more attention. Is that even possible?
