Thank you, Lin. This is a really strange situation. I started researching Dietes iridioides when one of the many that I have bloomed for me and I realized that it looked different than the other ones. I initially thought that it was just a sport until I read more on the net. It appears that I, too, was sold several "Dietes irioides" over the years that are now considered to be D.grandiflora and at least (1) D. irioides that is still called D. irioides. Unfortunately, I am not comfortable with the idea of tree-mailing other members regarding the possible confusion in the identification (where would I begin? what do I say?). I guess I was hoping that this would be easier to resolve...
