Leslie, Decomposed granite is kind of buckskin colored. Sometimes it's called "fines". Has a similar texture to running tracks. You may have crushed bluerock, which is grey, in your area... It's also nice, and looks better with pea gravel.
Hard to get a good picture of the DG.. The color "softens" as it gets older..
