Jean, thank you! I've been looking at lots of pic's of Echies and I do believe it's an Echeveria; it also looks a lot like Conchita Escarlata (Echeveria coccinea) I don't really know much about Echeveria but I'm assuming it's a pretty common plant since it was in a mixed basket at Lowes.

The one that I thought might be Sedum morganianum may actually be Jelly Bean (Sedum x rubrotinctum) which I've had in the past and in full sun gets real red ... but I'm really not good at going back and forth comparing pictures so I will wait and see on that one.
