Yes, it was a treat. The preserve where they are located has group walks several times a year. Unfortunately I always have to work when the walks are held. When I saw they had one scheduled during the blooming season for this flower, I put in for that day off way ahead of time. It was worth the trip to see this beautiful and rare flower. It only grows in a few small areas of Texas, Georgia and Florida.
