Ahhhh crocus, I remember them from four decades in the wonderful midwest! Lovey dubby I did try some tulips and you are right, bulbs are not happy with sandy heat.

But, you prompted me to learn more Thank You! and found that bees are local creatures attracted and adjusted to native pollen sources (thus their visits to our tree, I guess).

I'll have to try some native fuchsia for closer to ground visits, then, in hopes that I can finally catch sight of one and have a chance to get it on film! Group hug
