That is interesting about All American Selections. I had always assumed that they were just selected for excellence of performance in a wide range of climates. I contacted Oakes to ask about Lady Lucille and another question, but only the other question was answered! When I refer to Lady Lucille, however, I am referring to the cultivar sold by Oakes which I have had for years. I would think that maybe the hybridizer of the 2012 registered Lady Lucille (which appears to be a totally different plant) might have some unhappy moments when people return it because it isn't the plant they intended to buy. Of course, he is not responsible for an identical name on an unregistered plant. There are lots of unregistered plants with names that are sold as such like Reuther's Brown Spider. What I miss about the non-registered ones is the information that you usually get when you look it up, such as height, season, etc.
