I used to do the same thing--sort of....
I was always cleaning up or dead-heading plants in the Houseplant dept. at a Nursery I worked.
I would put a board across a lg. trash can on wheels. Easy to just roll it around with me and
throw trash down into it while i was working on cleaning up the plants sitting on the board.
Also--when I needed to re-pot something---it was no fuss-no mess....
