Gale, Bill's plants do very well for me regardless of leaf habit. Some take an extra year to acclimate. They are true to the stats; however, the color for Busy Being Blue has not performed well. The patterned flowers are more dramatic than the pictures.

The fans should be planted as early as possible, no later than mid August. Make sure to mulch well. I continue buying beyond mid August, but I pot them and bring them indoors mid November.
