It was tall but thin, so other plants could intermingle with it nicely, I think. If I get it again I'd like to try it with some of the smaller flowered, branching habit, lemon yellow sunflowers...or even the whiter varieties might be nice to visually enhance the white in the salvia. Or perhaps Nicotiana sylvestris...something nice and full lower down to fill out the bottom area of the planting, with just a bit more background color (if you call white a color
) to bring out the salvia blooms. It's kind of difficult to appreciate one plant from a distance, so I think a thicker stand or an intermingled combination would be much more visually appealing.
