That is your Back-up Insurance, cause you never know if it will freeze or not. I hade mine on the west side of the house, Believe me it will WILT if it needs water. I water mine about every day unless it rained after it grew larger. It got to be a big plant. You can put the manure around it to , you can get it now doesn't doesn't burn plants. But be sure and keep it watered. They may come back from root. but if you have cuttings you don't have to worry so bad.
