When do you know when to plant them and do you plant them right outside into the ground or into a pot and what type of soil. Really once I get them in the ground I have no problem and I can even grow them from seed in my mom aero garden but seed is unreliable as to what you will get interesting but unreliable. I would like to get some named cuttings of ones that I really like and then be able to take cuttings each fall as the insurance program against freezes here.
