Margaret, thanks but don't get too late until the new grows become too big and "old"
Now another day is gone and here comes good news with big trouble:
A new shoot (I hope it's a bud) came out under the old ponytail-like dry hair remnant! Since I planted this peacock in a tall glass container, the top of the PT (ponytail) is about 3" below the vase opening. I am wondering how am I to safely cut and remove the dry skins that block the new grows? The issues: 1. difficult deep access into the vase, 2. cutting w/o moving the bulb around (partially buried in rocks), 3. take out the cut dries after. Any suggestions? Thanks
